Awards will be beamed on television this year. Hence, the National Action
Network and Reverend Al Sharpton are partnering with TV One to present the
award on television this year...
To that effect, Tasha Cobbs will be performing
in the award to be filmed on Saturday, 12th September, 2015. The award
this year is aimed at recognising the positive contributions of the honorees in
the society this year. The award recognises contributions by individuals and
corporations in the areas of arts, civil rights, entertainment, education and
sports. The line up of honorees this year include: civil right leader Rev. Dr
Joseph Echols Lowery, award-winning artiste/humanitarian John Legend, recording
artiste and philanthropist Tyrese Gibson, Emmy-award winning Comedienne,
actress and producer, Wanda Sykes, Chief Diversity Officer and Global Director
of Education and External Relations for Intel Rosalind Hudnell. It premiers
exclusively on TV One in October this year.
